This year, Brazil’s Carnaval will be hosted on Google+ and YouTube, giving the local event a global audience. Viewers around the world will be able to see the festivities, chat with bands and watch live celebrity interviews.
From February 16th-21st, anyone will have the chance to experience the sights, sounds and energy of the Brazilian Carnaval directly from the streets of Salvador. On the Carnaval YouTube channel, there will be access to a live transmission of the streetfest and videos of bands who have travelled to the city. An integrated map will offer users the chance to chat with others watching at the same time.
On Google+, users will be able to chat in real-time with some of the Brazilian bands who have joined the festivities by sending them questions. There will also be live celebrity interviews transmitted throughout the week. You can watch the teaser video for the event below:
