Brazil’s civil aviation authority, Anac, said Thursday it would carry out an inspection of the check-in systems of leading airlines TAM SA and Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes (GOL, GOLL4.BR) after problems led to flight delays.
Gol, Brazil’s second-biggest carrier, already had been notified by Anac that it was monitoring the company after system problems Oct. 22 caused delays in many of the company’s flights. The regulator said it noted additional problems with the check-in system Thursday morning, although the number of delays was minimal.
Gol executives are scheduled to meet with Anac Oct. 31 to discuss the problems.
