Brazil’s security forces will have all the resources they need during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro next month, and the country’s authorities see little chance of terrorist attacks during the event, Defense Minister Raul Jungmann said Wednesday.
Security forces haven’t received a single indication from other countries of terrorist threats, Mr. Jungmann said at a press conference. He declined to rule out completely the possibility, but said there is no evidence of terrorist infiltration in Brazil.
“Can it rain tomorrow? It can. But is it probable, given the forecast? No,” said Mr. Jungmann.
