Moro: The Suppression from the Government and Congress against Corruption is Disappointing.

According to Judge Sergio Moro, Brazil faces “systematic corruption”, which goes beyond the payment of kickbacks in Petrobras and is consequence of cultural and institution fragility. “Let’s be clear: the government is the main actor responsible in creating a political and economic environment free from systematic corruption,” he said. “It is necessary that other public institutions, such as the executive and legislative powers, adhere to public policies destined to prevent and fight corruption. Systematic corruption is not and could not be a problem only for the judiciary.”
