Sergio Moro says that his participation in the Lava Jato could end at the end of the year

Judge Sergio Moro said this past Thursday (14) that his involvement with the Lava Jato investigation could soon come to an end, since most of the trials under his responsibility are in their final stages. He said that unless new evidence appears, all his cases will be concluded in a few months. Yet, he specifically made the distinction between his trials and the ones from the politicians with privilege forum, which under the constitution, are judged by the Supreme Court and could take up to years. On that note, Moro expressed his opinions on the limits of this kind of privilege, “today this privilege it is no longer working in Brazil,” he said referring to the large quantity of congressmen, senators and government officials being investigated at the moment.
